awareness of and raise critical funds for domestic violence programs

Cycle the WAVE a Record Breaking Success!
On Sunday, September 18th more than 1,100 women cyclists, almost 200 volunteers and 51
sponsors turned out for the 4th annual Cycle the WAVE raising a record-breaking $130,000
to benefit domestic violence service agencies serving Seattle and King County communities.

The Give Back Golf Classic hosted by Coal Creek Chapel was a wonderful
success raising more than $18,500. Over 130 avid golfers played the challenging
Bear Creek Country Club golf course on August 22nd while giving back to the community
and supporting LifeWire! Funds raised provide life-saving services for domestic violence

The Alliance of Eastside Agencies (AEA) honored five individuals and two organizations at its
seventh annual awards luncheon held June 15. Each has made outstanding contributions to health
and human services in East King County. Award recipients included Angela Bosse, Volunteer of the Year,
who works with LifeWire's children creating thoughtful lesson plans and a safe place where kids feel
at ease and can begin to heal and learn. She facilitates an LifeWire children's support group and
serves as a help line volunteer, offering support, kindness and comfort.
